Show SURVEYS FOR SUGAR; FACTORY PUNNED FOR LAYTOiy Layton, Jan. 14 A survey was made today of one of the three sites offered for the Knight Sugar company's com-pany's factory to be moved here from Raymond. Alberta. Canada The tract is the property of Mrs. Harriet BUI son. It lies between the Oregon Short Line and Denver & Rio Grande tracks, northwest of the town, within a mile of the business center. Two other sites under consideration will be surveyed sur-veyed today. One lios In the same direction di-rection as the first Rite and belongs partly to Mrs. Ellison and partly to David E. Layton The other Is southwest south-west of the town and belongs to John and William Flint The two latter sites are slightly nearer Layton than the first Investigation has resulted In the finding that plenty of water for run ning the factory is assured from three different sources the Davis & Weber County Canal company, the Kays Creek Irrigation company and the Homes Creek Irrigation company. It has been pointed out that much of the water will be availablo for irrigation ir-rigation purposes after it has been used by the factory. It is expected that the contract for construction work on the factory will be let shortly and work begun as soon as practicable, |
