Show H OUTLOOK FOR UTAH H PEACHES. H Thousands of acres of peach orch- H ards In. this part of Utah are bearing H an excellent crop of fruit, and, if H prices show a margin of profit, largo H returns should bo received by the H growers. M Our peach men are more hopeful H this season than at any time since H the peach market became demoralized H by a too expensive planting of trees. H Colorado suffered a heavy frost late H in May and the crop there -will bo H almost a total failure. Arkansas H storms have destroyed the peaches in H that state. No part Of the South has H a good crop. These adverse condl- H tlons elsewhere should givo our or- H chardists a fairly profitable market H It has been many years since B peaches shipped from Utah have re- 1 turned a revenue commensurate with H expense of raising tho fruit, and the B discouragements have been so many H that many growers had begun to up- H root their trees. With better markets, H. Utah's peach industry may be saved. |
