Show IMPROVE MAIL SERVICE. ernal, Aug. 20. A radical change in the ernal mall service has been promised by Inspector C. N. Christen-sen Christen-sen of the postal department, who has been investigating conditions in the Uinta basin during the past week. The ernal Commercial club was Just ready to inaugurate a fight over the present mail service when the arrival of Inspector Christensen temporarily put a halt to it. Mr. Christensen promised to dl his bfst to secure the following changes: The 5:15 train out of Salt Lake designated des-ignated a mail train and then all first and second-class mail routed by way of Mack, Colo., and Watson, Utah. The routing of all parcel post this way and the retention of a mail route between this city and reservation points. He also promised to do his best to secure a thrlce-a-week service between this section and western Colorado Col-orado points, Craig and Meeker. |
