Show MOTHER OF MRS. ENSIGN DIES IN Zlffl News of the death of Mrs Mary Ann Parker Richards, mother of Mrs I. H. Ensign of Ogden. was received In the city this morning. Mrs. Richards Rich-ards died yesterday at the family home, 457 Fourth avenue. Salt Tike City, Utah. She was the widow of Samuel W. Richards and was a pioneer pio-neer ot Utah. Mrs. Richards was born November 4. 1839, at Chaidgley, Lancashire, England, a daughter of John and Alice Woodacre Parker. She came to the United States in 1845 and for several years lived at St Louis, Mo. She came to Utah wit1 her father In 1852, and has since resided In Salt Lake. She was an active church worker and was a member of the Relief Re-lief society. Surviving her are the following children. Mrs. John E Pincock of Sugar City. Ida.; Mrs. D. H Ensign of Ogden. Mrs. David Spllsbury of Toquerville. Utah; Miss Carrie Rich-ads Rich-ads and Mrs. Edith Davis of Salt Ijike, Whitney S. and Willard Richards Rich-ards of Rudy, Ida. She is also survived sur-vived by forty-six grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Twentieth ward chapel in Salt Lake at noon Wednesday. |
