Show i l FOUMM IS AFTER OPERATION m sium Christopher Angus Folkman died Saturday at Sallna, Utah, rollowing an operation for appendicitis He was n sou of George D. Folkman, 56" Twenty-first street Ogdfm and was L'7 year? of age He was taken W on July 6 and at that lime was operated oper-ated on. but his condition grew worse and ou Juh 10 he wa6 operated on again. The second operation was thought to have been successful, but it proved otherwise and he passed away at 9 P. m Saturday. His fa ther was at the bedside, having gone to Salina on Friday. His fiancee. Miss Vera Douglass of Ogden was al so at the bedside Mr Folkman was horn at Plain City. August 22, 1887, and lived In W eber c ounty until about three years aeo. For thf past five years he had I boon connected with tho Mountain States Telephone & Telegraph com pany. While In Ogden. he was connected con-nected with the office as a tester and from herp he was sent to Garland as manager of that office. He occupied the latter position for about two p.-rs and v. as then transferred to Richfield, where he was taken 111. Hp is survived hv his parents and the following brothers and sisters George E . Weslev P , Earl W.. Leah M.. Orln Ei, Fttta P.. Stanley A. and Viol?. C Folkman His grandfather. .Christopher Folkman. also survives. His brother. Earl W Folkman, Is serving as a missionary in the Southern South-ern states, and has been confined to a hospital for several weeks of typhoid malaria His condition is so ritfeal that the news of his broth r r s death is being withheld from him. The deceased I a member of the Fraternal Order of Owls and the Woodmen of the World The body was brought to Ogden last night, accompanied ac-companied by the father and was tak-en tak-en to the Lindqnist chapel.
