Show FIGHTING BACK THE HINDUS. Great Britain mav be at the beg'n ning of a very serious conflict with the millions of India. Three months ago 350 Hindus arrived at Vancouver, British Columbia, seeking admission to the country. The were not allowed allow-ed to land because the natives of In dia are classed as Asiatics and are held to be undesirable, although they are British subjects. Since then the Hindus have been rebellious and they have prevented the ship on which they arrived from departing. Sunday, Canadian police attempted to board the ship and made arrangements arrange-ments for the sailing of the rejected Hindus, but they miet w ith resistance and many heads were broken. The Canadian government is re solved to force the Hindus back to India and no doubt will be successful Then will come Croat Britain's trouble. The nathes of India have never fully accepted the rule of the English and repeated attempts at rebellion re-bellion have been made Once fully aroused, the millions of India may-give may-give Great Britain endless trouble, and this may be the incentive to stir them to open revolt |
