Nov. 21 -Possibilities of this vear's cotton crop equalling or . . i, , . , , , -rinig the greatest crop heretofore here-tofore grown were Indicated today by th census bureau's fifth ginning report re-port of the season, which showed the quantity of cotton ginned prior io November M was 11,624,708 pales, the heaviest on record. In the last MaMggMAMAMBgJSJSjSMHtfflri seven years the average of the entire crop ginned to the end of the same period was 75 per cent On that basis ba-sis the present crop would seem to be between 15.500,000 and 16,000.000 bales. The ginning for the period from November No-vember 1 to 14 established a record of 1.795,626 bales, exceeding last year by 152,000 bales and 1911 by 453,000 hales. For the season this year's glnnlngs exceed the record by 311,000 bales. In Alabama. Arkansas. Florida and Oklahoma new records for glnnings to November 14 were established. |
