Show CAPTAIN ANSON NOT NEEDING PENSION New York, Dec 2o. Governor John K. Tener of Pennsylvania, the new-president new-president of the National League of Professional Baseball clubs announced announc-ed today through Secretary Hoydler that Captain Adrian C Anson, tho veteran Chicago player, was not In ned of a pension and he saw no reason rea-son why one should he granted. A proposal to pen on Anson was discussed dis-cussed at the annual meeting of ihe league during the week of December 8 Secretary Heydler's statement follows- Governor Tener was asked t-idav if he was In favor of pensioning Captain Anson and If ho would have the Na tional league take some action In the matter In reply he said: Speakinr as presldeut 01" the National league, I will say thai I see no reason why a pension should be oted Captain n-si n-si n.
