Show ! Society 1 HOLD PLEASANT SOCIAL. The young people of the Pre.sbyte i rian church hold a most enjoyable ! social last evening In the church par lore AT THE CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH. The members of Dr. E. P Mills and Mrs G W Perkins' classes, gave a supper last evening at the Congre Rational church, the young ladles of hp claaees, doing the cooking. A. social hour followed and the evening was thoroughly enjoyed. S nce the burning of the ( ongrega tional Country Club building. the church parlors and basement have been made Into a social gathering p! ice and a number of evenings have been enjoyed there recently. Th church is preparing to celebrate tha Sunday evening following Christmas, Christ-mas, with B Christmas cantata entitled entit-led "The Shepherd King ' by Lincoln flail and a cbcrur. of 2o people will asslel In Its pre-entat'on. There will also be a special Christmas sermcn Ly Lev Frank Brainerd. A Junior church service Will be hphl in the afternoon. DANCE AND CARD PARTY. Ncu Years eve the ladies of No 581 Women of V oodcraft will give a card party and dance in the Wood iaen hall in the Fraternity block SURPRISE THEIR TEACHER Yesterday afternoon the third grade pupils of the Grant school delightfully delightful-ly surprised their teacher, Miss Iris Malone A merrv time was enjoyed by the young people, who presented MLse Malone with many dafnt) gifts During the afternoon iruits candy, nuts and sandwiches were served. ENTERTAIN AT CARDS Last Satnrdav evening Mr. and Mrs Samuel Austin entertained a number of guests at a nicelj appointed appoint-ed card party. Promptly at 11 .olock the puesls t were ushered Into the diuing room, where a most temptingly prpparl luncheon was served. I f The Ogden High School Seniors gavp their annual holidav dance at HI the High School last evening In the assembly hall, a largo number participating par-ticipating Turners five-piece orches trr. furnished a fine program of 22 ''.Hues and wild cherry punch was served. A pretty evergreen bower was arranged for the punch booth.
