Show CANYON WRECK IS THE' CAUSE OF HEAVY DAMAGE SUIT Recollection of the collision of the canyon cars at the mouth of Ogdeu canyon July 4, 1913, in which a number num-ber of people were sent to the hospital hos-pital badly injured, some dying within with-in a few days after, was renewed today to-day when Fred A. Brophy, a cigar-raaker. cigar-raaker. filed suit in the district court against the Ogden Rapid Transit company for $30,250, alleged special and general damages for injuries which he sustained in the collosion. The complaint alleges that, on July 4, 1913, while riding on a car hound for the Hermitage in Ogden canyon, a collision occurred between the car ' Mr. Brophy was on and one coming down the canyon, in which the plaintiff plain-tiff was badly injuren. It is specifically specific-ally stated In the complaint that Mr. Brophy suffered severe Injuries to his left instep nnd foot, a compound fracture of the lower part of the leg and a serious fracture of the femure bone, It Is also alleged that the body was badly bruised and wounded, all to the special damage of the plaintiff In the sum of $250 and general damages dam-ages amounting to $30,000. It is further alleged that Mr. Brophy Bro-phy has been incapacitated In his vocation vo-cation as a clgarraaker and that he has not been able to do any kind of work since the time of the Injuries and that it is with difficulty that he moves about. |
