Show GOVERNOR TENER, LEAGUE PRESIDENT Cincinnati, Nov. 6. President Au-PUt Au-PUt Herrmann of the Cincinnati baseball club, in discussing the pos sibility of Governor John K. Tener of Pennsylvania becoming president of the National league said: "I was informed a week ago that such a movement was on. I understand under-stand that President Baker of the Philadelphia Nationals and President Dreyfus, of the Pittsburg club, have had the matter In charge I cannot Bee. however, how Governor Tener could combine the two positions One er the other would keep him busy all the time. However, Tener Is a national figure and I believe the presldendcy of the league Is practically practic-ally settled if he wants the position. I was with him during every game of the recent world's series and he did not intimate in any way that he wanted the position " |
