A cordial invitation Is extended to the other unions and any who are in-tare in-tare ted In the work to be present, ECCLES-CHEESM AN One of the most beautiful autumn weddings was solemnized last evening eve-ning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Eocles, 2555 Jefferson avenue, ave-nue, when their daughter Cella Eccles Ec-cles became the bride of Walter Scott Cheesman. Promptly at 8 o'clock, to the strains of Mendelssohn's wedding march the bridal party entered the drawing room and at one end where an altar of pink and white roues with showers of lilies of the valley forming a canopy overhead. Judge Henry H Rolapp pronounced the Impressive Im-pressive wedding ceremony The bride was beautifully attired In a gown of white French satin embroidered embroid-ered with gold orchids and with trim- I mlngs of real lace and pearl6. The long bridal veil was held by a circlet cir-clet of orange blossoms and pearls and the only article of Jewelry worn was a handsome diamond brooch, the gift of the bridegroom She carried a shower bouquet of roses and lilies of the valley. Mrs. Pearl Eccles Regan, sister of the bride, who was matron of honor, wore a beautiful gown of deep ros pink charmeuse with an overdress of beaded chiffon trimmings She car ried an arm bouquet of pink roses. The bridesmaids, Miss Beatrice Brewer, Mise Irraa Eccles, Mis6 Lillian Lil-lian Wright and Miss Marion Eccles were prettily gowned In costumes of pink chnrmeuse in various shades with gold lac trlraminga They : wore pink mallne bonnets tl with i lavender streamers and carried hask-etfl hask-etfl of pink rosos The little flower girls, Luclle Kline, Louise Eccls and Celia Eccles. nlaces of t li c bride, wcr In dainty white dresses and wore wreaths of pink roses Morton R. t'heesman of Salt Lake i brother of the groom attended him I and John Mcfurdv and Darwin Rlch-! To each of thn bride's attendants j the groom presented beautiful cameo I brooches and to the best man and ushers the gifts were gold pocket ! knives. Converted Into a garden of roses and chrysanthemums. Intermingled with palms, ferns and numerous autumn au-tumn flowers the beautiful Eccles homo on Jefferson avenue was a scene long to be remembered by th four hundred guests present. Over 150 relatives and Intimate friends of the bride and groom were, bidden to the wedding following which a reception was held until 11 o'clock when over four hundred guests extended ex-tended their congratulations. In the drawing room where the ceremony was performed large s. ases of pink roses and white chrysa-n thorn tho-rn urns were effectively arranged while In the library the color scheme was carried out In yellow and white. ' ment of the home a Japanese garden, where refreshments were served from small Japanese tables, was decorated decorat-ed with Oregon grape, ferns and hem-I hem-I lock with strings of vari colored lanterns lan-terns and Ughta. In th receiving line with the bridal party wero Mr and Mrs. William Ecclee, Mrs. M. A. Cheesraan of Salt Lake, mother of the groom Mrs Eccles wore a gown of purple brocaded velvet with chiffon and gold lace trimmings and Mrs Cheesman was attired In black Eatln nvlth beautiful trimmings of real lace. Following the reception Mr. and Mrs Cheesman left for an extended wedding trip to southern California. The happy couple will make their home In this city upon their return. Guests from Salt Lake. Provo and points outside of Utah attended the elaborate reception. |
