Due to the efforts of Congressman Howell of Utah the House has approved an appropriation of $5000 to operate r. laboratory at Salt Lake to Investigate the malady among the ducks there. Senator Reed Smoot on Monday says he will introduce a bill granting grant-ing the state eighty-eight acres on Fish lake for tho establishment of a state fish hatchery. Chambers Asks for tand. Fred W. Chambers, state fish and game commissioner, said he had asked that the land embraced by state fish hatchery No: 3 on Fish lake be grant ed to the state. He said that- the forty acres comprising the hatchery i are part of tho Fish lake forest. The ; bill which Senator Smoot is to intro- j duce provides that the government withdraw the land from the national reserve. The hatchery on the lake Vgj has been built for some time. fx J |
