Show ALTONAH IS SEEKING ROAD TO RAILROAD Altonah. May 25 This thriving town is situated in one of the rich est localities of the Uinta reservation country It is ninety-five miles east of Salt Lake, twenty-three miles west of Roosevelt, twenty-five mlle6 north west of My ton and twenty-four miles northeaBt of Duchesne. It is on one of the finest benches on the reservation res-ervation and on the upper survey of the Moffat railway. In Altonah and surrounding it are 1500 acres of the best land on tlr reservation, the soil being red sandy-clay sandy-clay and watered by the government On July 1 a large acreage will bo sold, the appraisal being from $10 to $2f an acre, with part in deferred payments. Altonah is a beautiful place, with 186 population, two stores, a blacksmith black-smith shop, and a school of 150 pu pile. The town was established January Jan-uary 1, 1912.
