Show OGDEN DELEGATES MEET OPPOSITION Salt Lake May 26 Members of the state road commission yesterday listened to pleas for the spending of the state's road money and that of Summit count for two different routes Into Salt Lake City from Evanslon, Wyo., on the Lincoln highway. high-way. R. E Bristol and J. David Larsen of th 1 Weber club at Ogden and W. C Stark, secretary of the Salt Lake Commercial club, asked that the road be improved from Evanston by way of Echo canyon through Ogden and from there Into Salt LaUe The Summit Sum-mit county delegation, composed of W D Lewis, A II Met ormick and Samuel Clark, county commissioners.! and County Attorney J. E. Johnson, asked that the road be Improved from Evanston by way of Chalk creek and Coalville, through Park City to Salt Lake City This latter proposition would eliminate Ogden. and the Ogdcnltes present opposed it strenuously. V. D. Beers, state engineer, engi-neer, and E. R. Morgan, state road enjrlncer, stated that no action was taken by the commission. |
