TRANSFER OF LOCAL SHOPS TO TRE S. P. COIf AN! T. W. Younger, superintendent of motive power at Sacramento; E. A Gilbert, general inspector ot the mo tive power department at San Fran clsco, and D. Hlckey, master mechan lc at Sparks, all of the Southern Pacific Pa-cific railroad, arrived in Ogden this morning on a tour of inspection. While here the three were taken over the local shops and yards by Master Mechanic D. J. Malone of the Oregon Short Line While the trip Is said to be just an ordinary inspection tour. It is thought that it will have considerable bearing on the question of making extensions and improvements on the local shops, when they are transferred from the control of the Oregon Short Line to the Southern Pacific, which event will lake place on June 1.
