Powers, a 19-year-old youth, was arrested with several sev-eral younger boys last night on, com- plaint of Bishop M, L. Jones, for an alleged disturbance at the Seventh ward hall, where a dance was being held. Tho other boys were turned, over to Judge V. C. Gunnell of the juvenile court and given a severe lecture. lec-ture. H. M. Holland, a drunk and W. M. . Ryan, a vag. pleaded guilty to the charges against them and were given 5-day suspended sentences. Both men were arrested yesterday by Patrolman Blackburn. Charles Hammerbock was sentenced sen-tenced to serve forty days In jail for conviction on the charge of indecent exposure. Lawrence Duccini forfeited $10 bail, which he left for his appearance in answer to a charge of speeding on a motorcycle. George Steele and Frank Lane were found guilty of vagrancy and sentenced sen-tenced to serve 5 days each. They were arrested yesterday by Patrolman Patrol-man John Russell. John Dwyer. a drunk, received a 5 day suspended sentence. The case of the City vs. Ed Lemon was dismissed on motion of the city attorney. Ellas Martlner was sentenced sen-tenced 'to serve 25 days or to pay a fine of $25. He was arrested by Officer Of-ficer Shoemaker on a charge of carrying car-rying concealed weapons. A large revolver found on him, was placed In evidence and his conviction followed. |
