Show VAN DEN AKKEN TO BE BURIED HERE Salt Lake, June 11. The murder of C. . Van den Akker, the night watchman employed by the Commercial Commer-cial Guard and Safety association, who was killed early Tuesday morning morn-ing in the yard of W. W Armstrong 1177 East South Temple street, still baffles the police and the entire detective de-tective force is working overtime on the case. While none of the detectives detec-tives will admit the details of any specific spe-cific clue some of them express the opinion that arrests will be made in a very few hours. The description of two slender young men who are said to have been running away from the sceue of th 1 shooting after the watchman had been murdered, are meager. Attempts to get measurements of footprints proved unsuccessful. While some of the members of the police department advanee the thor that Van den Akker was murdered by a lookout for a burglar, others of the detectives say this is practical without foundation Funeral arrangements for the ninr dered watchman havo not vet been completed It is probable that both the funeral services and interment will be held in Ogden. |
