Show DANGER AHEAD IN THE U. P. UNMERGING Attorney General McReynolds Is a man hard to please He is the voice of the administration in the unmerg-ing unmerg-ing of the Union Pacific and Southern Pacific roads, and so far he has objected ob-jected to every proposition of segregation segre-gation made by the officials of the Harriman lines. The attorney general should bear in mind that the country' Is at present under a heavy financial strain, with the banks pursuing an extremely conservative con-servative policy and all financial Interests In-terests sailing close to the shore There Is a nervous feeling and confidence confi-dence Ib being destroyed. If, by his constant blocking of every move to reach an amicable settlement, the Union Pacific is finally thrown Into the hands of a receiver, there will come a financial crash that will rock the country and topple the Wilson administration ad-ministration Into oblivion. |
