James Burk. charged It h assault upon Walter Williams Wil-liams at the Red Front Livery barn, was sentenced to serve 40 days !n the city jail or pay a fine of $40. Burlc paid the fine Burk. with two otherp. Harry Wold and Earl Blair, was charged with the same off ens'- The latter two were found not guilty. Burk taking the entire en-tire blame for the trouble. According to the testimony Blair, Wold and Burk were present when Wold telephoned for Williams to com. to the barn to settle some differences they had When Williams appeared, an argument resulted in whi h Burk Joined When he was told to mind his own business he attacked Williams Wil-liams and gave him a beating. According to the story told by Burk he was the only one ol the three that did any lighting. |
