chicago dec 9 dr oliver B halt who came to this cuy from st louis some months ago pleaded guilty today to the murder of irene klocow the charge against dr hart was murdering tho klocow girl who wag but 12 yeara of age by the administration of morphine he was left alone in the house with the airl exactly what happened has never been known but hart called for another physician who came and found the girl dying and hart vainly attempting to revive here she died in a few and hart denied at the time and until his appearance in court this morning has always denied that he gave the girl morphine in sufficient quantities to cause her death he was asked by judge barnes if he anew that under his plea of guilty he could ba sentenced to death and he nodded affirmatively firmat ively it was agreed kiy tho plates attorney and by counsel for hart to leave the case to judge badea tor sentence but witnesses were introduced to show that hart was not mentally responsible several prominent alienists one of whom pronounced him a high grade idiot declared that dr hart was mentally incompetent
