and made way with a bag of gold los angeles cal sept 15 early today the home of dr W W onaway was set on alre and abue its occupants were fighting the flames the supposed incendiaries entered and stole a handbag in government bonds and in gold they took the cash threw the bag and bonda into the fire and escaped the bag was recovered before it had been destroyed st though many of the bonds were badly scorched the rear 0 the building had been saturated with oil but the fire was soon extinguished
