car of express train thrown from rails new york sept 18 one car of an express train bound for boston was overturned today in the now york central tunnel and twelve persons were injured the accident was caused by an open switch and occurred near fifty sixth street just after the aroln had left the grand central station the injured persons were placed on the cars which were not derailed and the train was pulled back into the station though the passengers in the ala railed car were about violently when the car went off the track no one was fatally injured many were badly bruised and some sustained brok en limbs the railroad authorities hurried a hundred laborers to the scene and the ralla had been torn up for fifty feet were promptly prom re laid within an hour after the accident the tracks were cleared
