Show militiamen OUT OGDEN COMPANY WILL LEAVE ON MONDAY annual encampment guard Is to be at mantl from saturdays standard members of company B ot the butali national guard are busy malting their preparations to leave on monday for manti where tae encampment of the guard is to be held this boar the corn pany under the command of captain wm E kneass will leave at 7 over the rio brande for salt lake where they will join the other companies all leaving mantl on a special train at 11 this year there will be no brigade formation at the camp as in former years the office of brigadier general having been abolished after the trouble between the adjutant general and the brigade commander this spring the guard at the camp will be under the command of colonel geoghegan one of the officers of the ogden company first lieutenant lander has been selected to serve as battalion adjutant during the time that the guard remains in camp he will serva on the staff of major williams commander of the guard of which the local company Is a member the guard will remain in camp for eight days the order issued from national guard headquarters says company A nepal will bp furnished a coach by the san pedro los angeles salt lake railroad company and they may occupy the same after 10 p m on monday evening sept 4 1905 which will be attached to the special train carrying the troops from salt lake city company B ogden will leave at 7 p m sept 4 1905 on train no 4 over the denyer rio grando railroad company B bountiful will leave that place at p m sept 4 1905 over the salt lake ogden railroad these two companies will march direct to the armory after their arrival in this city and the quartermaster will make arrangements to transfer the baggage to the san pedio los angeles salt lake railroad depot this city company P mantl will report at the sanpete valley railroad station at that place tuesday sept 6 1905 at 6 a m the uniform for this occasion will be the khaki or service with blue flannel shirt campaign hat and leggings each company commander will se to it that very member of his command is properly equipped as to arms and uniform and furnished with complete mess kit extra underwear and toilet arlicks willbe carried in the blanket roll on the outside of which will be the poncho and slung over the left shoulder the haversack will contain the mess kit except the tin cup which will be fastened to the hook on haversack strap each man must be supplied with two pairs of blankets shoes should be durable and well fitting men are cautioned against burdening themselves with superfluous baggage and no or satchels will be per bitted the allowance of baggage for officers be as provided in united states army regulations and furniture to be transported should as far as practicable bej of the kind which will fold no stores or baggage must be left without a guard |
