Show WALKS WITH BROKEN BACK Celebrates Xmas by Going Go-ing Out for First Walk in Eighteen Months New Rochelle. N Y., Dec. 25 Waldorf Wal-dorf Miller, who contrary to the prediction pre-diction of physicians has lived for nearly IS months with a broken back, celebrated Christmas today by going out for his first walk in the streets since July 3. 1911, when he received the injury while diving. His case had received so much publicity pub-licity that victims of similar accidents n all parts of the country sent him letters, to which he is replying todav with Christmas greetings. A neighbor prepared an .unusual present for him in the chape of u silk quilt with tho names of 400 young women embroidered on It. Each girl 1 " - embroidered her own name and paid 10 cents for the privilege, the money mon-ey being given to Miller with the quilt |
