Show HOMESTER TO 8 E A BIG In the opinion of John Cleghorn one of the widely known Utah mine operators, oper-ators, and one who has pioneered in several of the camps of Nevada, Rochester Ro-chester is going to be one of the lar gest, If not the largest, mining camps that the state of Nevada contains Mr. Cleghorn has just returned from a visit vis-it to Rochester, where he succeeded in picking up a group of five claims on , lease and bond, which he believes will be found easily within the productive zone of the district. Sacking from Surface. Rochester camp formation, ho states, is practically Identical with that of Toliopah, there being a series of north and south fissure veins, the ein fartherest to the oast so far having hav-ing been given attention This vein crops for a very great distance and in a very bold manner, one boulder from the surface having filled ninety sacks with shipping-grade gold and i silver ore. The other veins of the series have values, but they have not been prospected yet. The Nenzel property has been leas- j ed in blocks of 300 feet each along tho trend of the eastern vein, the Ludwlg leasers now being engaged in sacking from five (o seven feet of ore that runs from $80 to $100 per ton On the Wilson lease they are sacking $40 ore. i but tho day Itfr. Cleghorn left tho ,' camp the values had Incrensed to $7o. ' As to the extent of this ore, Mr Cleg-1 horn Is not positive, but that it is not a narrow streak is evident from the large pieces of the rich ore which he saw. To the north of these leases other leasers are preparing to begin work without delay along the same vein. Schick Shipments. South of the Nenzel property is the Schick property, holding the same veins and from which several cars of ore have been shipped already, tho values going from $10 to $60 per ton. The claim is under lease to William Borland Two miles west of the camp is the Lincoln Hill section, In which cuts a large porphyry dike, on either sido of which are quartz veins ranging from two to four feet In width, the values ranging from a few dollars to high grade, with a probable average of between be-tween $50 and $C0 per ton body, its feet sticking into the air The animal was not hurt The county attorney and the justice decided that death was accidental and that there need be no Inquest The body was taken to the home of the boy's mother, who is completed prostrated. nn |
