Show THEY CHEERED ROOSEVELT Were you at Glenwood Park hist night, in attendance at the Chautauqua lecture? If you. were, you will appreciate this state-ment: state-ment: A likeness of Taft was thrown on the screen near the speakers' platlorm. There was a ripple of applause. Then other pictures were! shown and finally Roosevelt was presented.. When the face of the! greater reformer appeared, there was a perfect storm of applause The demonstration was as vigorous as it was spontaneous and continued con-tinued for some time It was a very large audience and fully ninety-nine per cent of those present must have been Roosevelt people. It is the most remarkable re-markable evidence so far presented of sentiment of this community Even those who do not give much attention to politics commented on the seemingly unanimous voice of the audience, which was a most representative one, in favor of Roosevelt. If the people of Ogden vote this fall as they cheered last evening, even-ing, there will be a clean sweep for the Progressive party in this, part of Utah. |
