Show NO DAMAGE TO FRUIT CROP According to reports from different sections of Weber county and the country to the north, tho recent frost was in streaks, genrally doing but little damage. It is now stated that a good crop of cherries and apricots apri-cots will be harvested. It is true that in some localities quite a large percentage of the' apricots apri-cots and cherries wero nipped and destroyed, but in many of tho districts dis-tricts tho frost did not remove more budB than necessary to thin the trees. County Commissioner Frank Moore states that a close Investigation on his farm discloses the fact that practically prac-tically all his apricots and cherries are In good condition. The peach buds on Mr. Moore's place have not been touched. Other orchardlsLs nearby make tho samo statement. On tho Sand flldge and at Roy" tho farmers declare there will bo no. losses, unless heavier .frosts prevail at a later date. Peaches aro untouched un-touched and other early fruits aro not' damaged. oo |
