Show UTAH COUNTY $250,000 RICHER THAN LAST YEAR. Provo, April 24. County Assessor Hyrum R. Chrlstensen completed his assessment of Utah county for 1912, and tho figures show that the county haB gained almost a quarter of a million mil-lion over the valuation ono year ago. However, of this abount, approximately approximate-ly $160,000 is takon out In tho assessment assess-ment of sheep, which Is brought about through the change In tho law made by the last legislature No raise wafl made In tho valuations this year The officials took up most of tho time in equalizing and grading grad-ing tho roal estnte as classified by tho lost legislature under tho headings of Farming, Fruit and Other Lands. Much work also has been done in equalizing equaliz-ing personal property, sp as to make the taxation uniform throughout the county. The total assessment of the county Is $11,035,688. This does not Include tho property assessed by tho state board which Is the corporate property, Improvements upon mining claims and not proceeds of mines. |
