Lindquist and Wobor county, coun-ty, by Oscar Madson. chairman of tho board of county commissioners, and John Child, superintendent of the county infirmary, petitioned tho district dis-trict court that letters of administration. administra-tion. In tho matter of tho estato of. Henry D. Southard bo given to County Clerk Samuel G. Dye. Tho petition relates that Mr. Southard South-ard died Intestate March 14. 1912, and that he left an estate, so far as can bo ascertained, consisting of a note for $250, together with other personal effects not enumerated. Thcr petitioners petition-ers allege that they aro crodltors. Southard died at the Weber county Infirmary, it being understood that ho was a pauper, but after his death It was discovered that he held a noto for ?250 and that It is very likely that something llko $700 was do him from other sources. Certificates of deposit In banks of tho city were also found In his papers, the amount of tho deposits de-posits not being designated. Investigations warrant the conclusion conclus-ion that tho old man did not dlo a pauper, but thai, on the contrary, he was possessed or considerable wealth. Ho had lived In the community for a good many years and was known to bo a prudent, industrious and painstaking pains-taking man. It Is possible that the administrator of his estate may discover dis-cover that ho loft onough to have properly burled him and aIso lo havo moro than paid for his caro during his last Infirmity. It is not known whether he has "any helrs except a daughter, Victoria Southard, somewhere some-where In tho east. |
