Show oo BOATING ON A PET Part of Augusta, Ga., Is Now Under Water Augusta, Ga March 16. Regular boat service today was installed In place of street cars on some of Augusta's Au-gusta's flooded streets. The Savannah Savan-nah river, ordinarily not more than 150 jards wide, stretches a mile from the Georgia to the Carolina shore and a 35.5 foot depth was shown by the guage. While property and livestock loss is expected to be considerable in the low-lands, low-lands, there has been no loss of life reported. Many families have been forced to abandon their homes. |
