Show HI. I. I'UITIIIE dies mm William L. Mclntire, freight brake-man brake-man on the Denver & Rio Grande railroad, dropped dead in the cabooso of his train yesterday morning at S o'clock while tho freight was pas3lng through Roy. Death was duo to heart failure. During tho run from the south end of the division to Roy. Mclntlro had not mentioned being III and was to all appearances in tho best of health and spirits. When the train pulled into tho south end of the switch at Roy. the train which was to pass northbound at that point was Just coming inio slghL looking from the cupalo of tho way car, Mclntlro remarked: re-marked: "There they are now." The train passed and the trainman to whom Mclntire had addrossed the remark a few moments before" asked him a question. Mclntiie did not answer an-swer and when tho trainman turned and looked at him, he was struck with horror at the death-like expression on his companion's face. Mclntire was dead. The remains wero brought to this city and removed to tho mortuaty of Heaton and KIrkendall. The funeral services will be held from tho mortu. ary chapel thi3 afternoon at 0:30, and tho remains will probably be shipped to Arkansas City, Ark., which was Mc-Intire's Mc-Intire's former homo. The deceased was 30 years old and was a mombor of the Brotherhood of Railwaj Trainmen, Train-men, under whose auspices the funeral funer-al will be conducted. |
