Show MUNSEY IS READY TO FACE CHARGES Salt Lake, Feb. 12 "I gained twenty pounds whllo I was In Lop Angeles and am feeling fine," said John E Munsoy, business agent for the Bridge and Structural Iron Workers, yesterday yester-day "I am through for the time being be-ing at Los Angeles and will be back in the harness in my office in the Labor temple tomorrow. James Kindred, Kin-dred, president of the local union, has been takiug care of my office, but I will be glad to get to 'work again. "You know of the workings of the case at Los Angolcs as well as I do We have not sought notoriety and are not seeking It now, but our work is open and we are not afraid to face anybody. I hay e played above board all the time and shall continue to do so. If they want me at Indianapolis at any time they will find me hero where my work is and I will be ready to go at any time they want me. 1 am not afraid of anything, for I know what I have been doing and know that It will stand trial. "The whole trial seems to me to be an attempt to break up organized labor, but it will only make It stronger. strong-er. As the laborers see tho forces arrayed against them they will know that they muat organize for protection protec-tion of their rlshts. Of course, we do not know ivho has been indictod at Indianapolis. In fact, I know very little of what has been going on there. I suppose, however, that those Indicted Indict-ed will be In different parts of the country and it is not improbable that warrants will bo issued for some of us here." Mr. Munsoy came to Salt Lake City from Los Angeles, where he was Indicted In-dicted In connection with tho illegal transportation of dynamite, arriving here late Saturday night. His wife has been here several weeks. While, as he said, he was not dodging anybody, any-body, ho was tired and he and his wife spent yesterriaj In their apartments on South Main Btreet. except for short trips to familiar places in tho city. Mr. Mnnsey spent an hour or two at tho Moose club and called on beveral friends about the city. |
