Show STATEHOOD Plans Completed For the Big Event in Phoenix Phoenix, Ariz., Feb. 12 All plans for the Inauguration of Governor-elect George W P. Hunt and for Arizona's debut into the union as a full-fledged state next Wednesday hae been completed. com-pleted. Owing to the delay In issuing the statehood proclamation, due to President Taft's absence from Washington Wash-ington today, the governor-elect and the other new officials residing outside out-side of Phoenix wlfl not arrive heie until Tuesday. There was much disappointment becauso of President Taft's Inability to sign the proclamation today. It was considered fitting that Arizona should beenmo a state on Lincoln's birthday, as it was Lincoln who signed sign-ed the proclamation creating a territory terri-tory of Arizona. The Inauguration ceremonies will bo very simple and unostentatious in accordance with the view of the governor-elects While the plans for a parade have not been abandoned theie will be .in absence of any pomp or military display, dis-play, only civic bodies taking parL There will be a salute of 4S gun6, signifying sig-nifying Arizona's place in the flag. The governor will walk to the capitol, where tho oath will be administered by Chief Justice Edward Kent of the territorial supreme court, after which there will be a brief Inaugural address. ad-dress.
