DISCOVER ATTEMPTS TO ROB TWO STORES Evidences of what is believed to have' been an attempt to rob two business houses were discovered last evening, when tho third shift of officers, offi-cers, going on duty at 11 o'clock and making their first rounds, found that panes of glass had been broken from the rear windows at the Atlas saloon, 371 Twenty-fourth street, and the Becraft sporting goods store, corner of Twentj'-fourth and Grant. Investigation proved that neither of the places had been entered, but believing that the burglnrs would return re-turn to complete their job, a strict watch was kept by the officers at both places throughout the night.
