Show CHAUTAUQUA WILL BE HELD At a meeting of the Ogden Chautauqua Chau-tauqua committee this morning, it was determined that tho assembly meet to be lield In this city during the sum-, mer shall bo conducted Independent of the Chicago Chautauqua bureau j and that the talent to be secured shall be employed by the committee di-' rect, instead of through the services of any Chautauqua agency. ' It was decided by the committeo that a public meeting will be hold in the near future In which all persons interested in the uplift nnd culture of this city will be invited to Like part. At this gathering a permanent Ogden Chautauqua asbociation will be organized, and it shnll bo under tho auspices of this body that the proposed pro-posed Chautauqua will be held. It was shown that by taking charge of the assembly personally, a great deal of expenso could be avoided. Tho committeo Is assured that talent j equally as good as that furnished by tho eastern bureaus can bo secured In the west The committee which Is now pushing push-ing the proposed meet Is composed of J. J. Brummltt, Dr. E. P. Mills, David O. McKay, Rev. F. V. Fisher, F. M. Driggs, Dr. E. G. Gowans and Prof. W. W. Henderson. |
