Show COm BOARD A large number of bids for the contract con-tract for county sprinkling 'were presented pre-sented to the 'board of county commissioners commis-sioners this morning, but no action was taken. Commissioner Moore recommended that 2,55fj feet of plre be purchased and used in connecting pipe stands from which water is taken for sprinkling sprink-ling purposes, so that the surplus of one stand could be turned into another that might be short of wator. The commissioner com-missioner stated that such was the case with a number of the stands In the county. Tho matter was referred to the commissioner and he was given giv-en power to act Commissioner Skeen reported that he had purchased of H Goodale and P T Nelson a right-of-way for a road between tho Bamberger road and the county road, near the Nelson place, for $250 and that tho road would be opened at an early date.- The county road commissioner was authorized to repair the Uintah dug-way dug-way on tho county road. Property owners of Adams and Grant avenues petitioned the commissioners commis-sioners to open the avenues for road ptirposes from the city limits at Thir ty-sixth street to Thirty-ninth street Count Treasurer Chambers report ed that the taxes on property condemned con-demned for tho opening of Hudson avenue had not been paid for 1910 and he requested advice Tocardlng the action he should take in tho matter. The question was referred to County Attorney Jensen. The county clerk was authorized to advertise for bids for certain repairs on the county Infirmary. |
