J Wilson, tho young men arrested for the burglary of the Fred Williams home, 2S70 Wall avenue, were arraigned in police court this morning and held to their preliminary pre-liminary hearing under a bond of $500 each Tho loys did not enter a plea, but it is likely that they will waive their preliminary hearing and enter a plea or guiltv in the district court, 'as both have mndo an open breast of their crime to the officers. Davies. "who Is about 21 years of age, broke down while being questioned by Detective Pendor yesterday afternoon and cried bitterly. It Is 'believed thai the boys had their first experience in crime In this city and thnt they have never before been arrested It was becauso of this belief held by the police that a' charge of buf-glary in the third degree was filed against them. It would have been possiblo for the pollco to have charged them with first or second degree de-gree burglary had they chosen lo do so The particular robbery of which they are charged in the complaint was committed on the afternoon of April 4. Other burglaries which might- bo charged against them wero committed duriug tho night time and would therefore constitute a heavier offenso. |
