Frauds amounting to 'several million dollars ou duties on Importations of cutlery during tho last few years, have been discovered by secret agents of the customs service who have been working work-ing In this country nnd in tho Collagen Colla-gen district of Germany from where most of the Imports come to the United Unit-ed States. In 43 cases of cutlery entered as having a value of ?10.2I3. an undervaluation under-valuation of only $SG8 was found, but on that one seizuro the government hud been defrauded out of $3,397 In duties. Tho duty on cutlery Is very high. Special customs agents havo collected collect-ed from tho Soldengon district samples sam-ples of every kind of cutlery which comes to tho United Statos.
