Show FOOD INSPECTORS SPEITJMY HERE After spending the entire day in this city inspecting more " than a half dozen Ogden manufacturing manufactur-ing plants, three state Inspectors, members of the-dalry and pure food bureau declared that they fquncUbunl-tary fquncUbunl-tary and other conditions as nearly near-ly perfect' as it were possible to make them and. woro surprised at the extensive manufacture of food products prod-ucts which is carried on here. The visitors were James Clawson, A. H. Crabbe nnd Willard Hanaen. Thoy were guests of J. S. Carvor, chairman of the board, during their slay in Ogden. Arriving from Salt Lake at 9 o'clock the state Inspectors devoted the entire day In visiting tho plants of the following Ogden concerns: con-cerns: Pioneer Canning company. Shupe-Wllliams Candy company. Ogden Provision and Packing company. com-pany. H. L. GrifTiu company. Becker's Brewing and Malting company. com-pany. Ogden Macaroni Manufacturing company. com-pany. Western Bottling company. Fred J, Jvlosel company. At each plant visited tho members of tho bureau were shown through every ev-ery department of the Institution and tho Information scqurod was not only valuable in determining sanitary conditions con-ditions under which food products arc manufactured, hut will also assl6t tho bureau in determining those standards which must be oqualed by every manufacturer man-ufacturer In the state. Upon leaving for Salt Lake at G o'clock last evening the inspectors declared de-clared to Chairman Carver that the trip had been ono of the most Instructive Instruc-tive and profitable they had, ovor made during their service on tho bureau. |
