While Crosby was Rrrested on suspicion sus-picion that ho had taken part In tho Cohen store robbery, he established his Innoconco In regard to this burglar'. burg-lar'. Ho was identified, however, by Detective Cordon of the Southern Pacific Pa-cific railroad as a man who had served serv-ed time In; thieo different penitentiaries, peniten-tiaries, under, three different aliases. At the time of his arrest Crosby was wearing several now articles of clothing cloth-ing and this fact lea the railway officer of-ficer to connect him with the robbery of the Short Line box car. It was 'found that the clothing worn by Crosby Cros-by corresponded with mo goods stolen from the car and, when confronted with this evidence of his guilt, the prisoner made a full confession of tho theft When arraigned tins morning, Crosby Cros-by stated that he desired to waive hisN piellmlnary examination. After the fixing of tho bond, the prisoner was transferred from the city to the county coun-ty Jail to await the action of tho district dis-trict court. |
