"fruity" name which Is ono of the H i roost popular on the "San Fran-Og- Hl lcn'' route, acted as toastmaster. Tho H first speakor was tho guest of honor, j Ir. Stephens, and for a half hour he 1 entertained his boys with wjtty jibes M , and "humorous remarks. His remarks j wore often interrupted by outbursts H of applause and cheers. Caroy, who Is a transfer clerk here It was a very late hour when the two score of delighted railway rail-way dorks sought their homos. During his stay in the city Mr Stephens Ste-phens met every employe of the department de-partment who makes his headquarters in this city. Together with his secretary, secre-tary, Dan Hickey and Mr. Pettlbono, the district superintendent, will leavo for San Francisco this morning. |
