George Spoirs was born November Q, 183G, In Bridgewater. Pa. He came to Utah with tho second band of pioneers pio-neers in 1S4S and during the days of his youth and middle life wag active and prominent in civil and eccleslas-tlcal eccleslas-tlcal circles. One brother, Harrison Speirs, a sister, sis-ter, Mrs. A J. Pendic-.;i. both of this city survive him, as well as tho following fol-lowing 3ons and dnugatcrs; George, Jr., of Salt Lake; Thomas of Vernal, Utah; Mrs. David P. Felt, Mrs. David Reich, Mrs. George Huwarth, Mrs, Ernest A. Gregory, vllllam Speirs, all of Suit lake, and Mrs, Clyde W.Ward W.-Ward of San Francisco. , For many years Speirs was n. -widower and made his residence at the old copper plant of which nc was the custodian. |
