Show DEATH OF JUDGE LOWELL OF BOSTON Boston, March G Judge Francis Cabot Lowell, of the United States circuit court, died suddenly today at his home. Judge Lowell's public career covered cov-ered a period of 22 years and Included Includ-ed service in the Boston city council, coun-cil, three years in the lower branch of the legislature and thirteen years on the federal bench. For seven years he was district judge, and six years one of Cho judges of the circuit court. Judge Lowell was born in this city In 1855, received his education In the public schools and at Harvard. He wao graduated from the university In 187G, and from the law school In 1S79. |
