Show IFUNERAL OF IS, CANNONJIBAll Scores of sorrowing friends gathered gather-ed at tho First Prcsbj-tcrian church yostorday afternoon to pay their lant trlbuto of respect to tho lato Mrs. Olive Ol-ive Cannon Kimball, daughter of Frank J. Cannon. Tho pastor, Rev. J E Carver, offiolated, nnd was assisted as-sisted by 1 C. Brown and Josoph J. Cnnnon, relatives of tho deceneed Tho servicos were opened with a solo by Mrs William Allison, who rendered "Rock of Ages," Following a praj'er by Rev. Carver, Charlos Pike, of Salt Lako, sang, "Rest Theo Sad Heart." The pastor thon delivered nn oloquent funeral oration and a duet, "My Heavenly Father," wa rendered by Mlns Myrtlo Balhnger and George Douglas, assisted by a male quartet, under the direction of Prof. Joseph Bnllantyno. The many beautiful qualities of Mrs. Kimball wore then spoken of by Mr. Brown and Mr. Cannon, each of whom. dolUered a short address. These were followod by duotB by Mrs. Allison and Mr Plko, who sang "Until God's Day," and "When tho Swallows Homeward Fly." Among those from out of the city who attended the funeral were former Ignited States Senator Frank Cannon of Donvor, Mrs. Sarah J. Cannon, grandmother of tho deceased, and Mrs. Alonzo E Hydo, a sister of Mrs Kimball. Kim-ball. The casket containing the romnins of tho well-known woman was almost entirely concealed by a huge bank of floweis, In addition to which thero wero several hoautlful floral pieces, all testifying to tho high regard In which tho departed woman had boon held by her countless frloudB nnd acquaintances, acquaint-ances, i The services wore held at 2 o'clock nnd tho funeral cortege proceeded at onco to the Ogdon City cemetery, where Interment was made. oo |
