Show CUSTOMS INSPECTOR IS DISMISSED FROM SERVICE Washington, Feb.' 25. Chester M. Gibbons, customs Inspector at San Francisco, was discharged from the service today by the treasurv department de-partment on tho recommendation of Collector Fred S. Stratton. The charge against Gibbons was dereliction derelic-tion of duty on a seizure of opium on the steamer Nippon Maru. It was charged that Gibbons was round with ten cans of opium undor his coat. His dofenso was that he was taking thorn to tho customs house as a seizure. nn |
