Show FORGER IS WANTED EAST Information from Washington indicates indi-cates that Al Williams, who is serving serv-ing a sixty-days sentence for vagrancy vag-rancy in the' county jail. Is none other oth-er than Arthur P. Hubbard, alias Arthur Ar-thur Hill, tho "Bogus Directory Swind-lor" Swind-lor" of the national capital, and that he Is wanted on a charge of forgery. The sheriff's office Is in receipt of a letter from the Washington officers, offi-cers, the envelope also containing a photograph of Hubbard1, to the effect, that Williams Is the man wanted and the sheriff has been requested to see to It that he does not get away. Tho letter states that anj officer will come on Immediately with-requisitlon papers pa-pers for Hubbard, alias flill, alias Williams. Wil-liams. An examination of Williams discloses dis-closes tho fact that he carries the same marks described as being on Hubbard's body, arms and face and the photograph is ajperrect likeness of him. He denies, howevor, that ho is I Hubbard or that he wes ever in trou-I trou-I bio in Washington lino officers here are posltho that ho is tho man wanted by the Washington officers. The advice from--Washington is to the effect that Hubbard was charged with forgery eight, years ago and that he furnished a bond of $1,000 for appearance. ap-pearance. The man disappeared from the eastern country and since that timo the officers of-ficers have been looking for him In tho webtern section, 100 reward being be-ing offered for his recapture A short time ago, lji looking over descriptions of men wanted in other sections of the country, tho sheriff came across one of Hubbard. It completely com-pletely answered the description he had recently taken of Williams that an investigation was made and the Washington people advised. Williams, as he gives his name here, was arrested about thirty days ago near Five Points, for vagrancy and was sentenced to jLho county Jail fir sixty days He stated at tho time j of his hearing before Judge Murphy that he was addicted to the use of ! drugs and that behind come here from i Salt Lake, hoplngHo break liimself or tho habit. Ho Is a man about 30 years of age and evidently has been fairly well educated. |
