The evening was spent in playing play-ing games aud other amusements, several vocal and instrumental selections selec-tions being rendered. At the midnight mid-night hour luncheon was served, the guests departing soon after. Those present were: Misses Erma Moore, Marion Hewitt, Sarnh Van Patten, Leoua Payne, Mabel Chrlstonsen, Ellen Molssner, Maria Smith, Cora Smith, Isabelle Archer, Edna Geiger. Messrs. Loyal Griffin, Ralph Farr, Mr. Stewart, Mr. Maris, Leo Chrlstonsen, Chrls-tonsen, George Brooks, Emery Smith, Herman Garrison, Byron Whittemore, Fraul; Farrell and Art Brown. , SURPRISE PARTY. Last evening Dr. and Mrs. Edgar Bates were pleasantly surprised by a large number of friends coming in to spend tho evening with them, a variety of games wero indulged in, and dainty refreshments were served. COLONIAL TEA. The Colonial tea given last evening by the young people of the First Presbyterian Pres-byterian church wns an occasion long to be remembered by the largo number num-ber who attended. The First Presbyterian church was a center of a largo and joyous com- , pany of men and women Thursday evening, when Mrs. Brookshiro, Mrs. I Kobblns, Mrs. Herdti and Mrs. Corn entertained iho members and their I tiiiemh at a Washington lea and musi- cale. A fine musical program was given giv-en and a dellghttul social evening was enjoyed. Appropriate refrcsnmonts were served. CARD PARTY. Miss Emily Newton entertained a numbor of her friends at a card party in honor of George Washington's birth day, Thursday evening, February 23. The house was beautifully decorated in the national colors. Cards were indulged in, at which Miss Lillie John- I son won ilrst prize. Mi6s Cosette Wright tho booby prize. Other games and vocal selctions wero then enjoyed. A dainty i'liucheon was served at 10:30, the table being decorated with tiny flags. MANILA MERRY WORKERS. The Manila Merry .Workers met February 22, with Mrs. Minnie Hurst at her home and a very pleasant afternoon aft-ernoon was spent.
