Show The city was forced to endure almost al-most total darkness for a few minutes min-utes lastsevening, when an nccldent necessitated tho shutting off of the electrical current which supplies the lights on the streets and in the homes. Wind broke tho limbs from a tree near Twelfth street, and they fell in such manner as to break two transmission trans-mission wires about a quarter of a mile from the power plant. It wzs necossary to shut off the current until un-til the wires could bo spliced, which required about fifteen minutes. |
