Show WORLD'SMARKETS MARKET HEAVY FOLLOWING WEAKNESS IN LONDON. New York, Fob. 3. Heaviness of Americans in the London market today to-day found rhnp reflection at the opening here when most of the active Issues were fractionally under last night's close. United States Steel, on an initial sale of 3,500 shares, yielded 3-S and Erie, Chesapeake & Ohio, Reading and SL Paul receded 1-4 Some advances were registered, however, how-ever, Pacific Mail gaining a point. Amalgamated Copper 3-1 and Pennsylvania Pennsyl-vania 3-S. Prices moved upward after aft-er the opening but, selling on the advance, the markei weakened. Reading Read-ing was sold freely, falling back a point from Its best and several other railroad Issues were heavy, including Northern Pacific which lost a point. United States Steel sagged under constant con-stant pressure. Paciflo Mail was offered of-fered liberally on the rise and reach-ed reach-ed 1 1-2. Surface conditions during the morning morn-ing reflected furthor soiling of stocks Xor profits, which dimlshed buying power, but the undertone was modor-ately modor-ately firm. The usual leaders, United States Steel. Union Pacific and Reading, Read-ing, were under intermittent pressure. The copper stocks were again strong, despite dhergent views on current trade conditions.
